This is a really simple whole food recipe.

It’s rather important what it has not, though.

No oil, no sugar, no dairysimply no fattening foods, rich in processed carbs or saturated fat.

Instead, you get fiber-rich nuts, rich in healthy protein vitamin E, magnesium, zincHealthy whole food fats as well.

These are slow to digest calories which keep you full for longer and prevent overeating. You get to stay lean!

The garlic, lemon, fresh dill, and black pepper. These are not just spices but micronutrient and antioxidant-rich foods. They help you detox and satisfy your nutritional hunger.

All in all, a sauce that does make you healthy and trim!

Yield: 1 cup for 2 people

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces (60 gr) walnuts
  • 2 ounces (60 gr) cashews
  • 1½ cup of water
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • salt to taste
  • several twists freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ bunch of dill, chopped

Directions

  1. Place the nuts, water, garlic, lemon juice, salt and black pepper in a blender until creamy.
  2. Put in a bowl and sprinkle with chopped dill.

Notes

  • You can soak the nuts for 1-2 hours before blending them to activate their enzymes.
  • If the sauce is too thick, you can add more water.
