Whole Food Ingredients
These strawberry vegan truffles are made with only 5 simple ingredients. They have just the right amount of sweetness and taste so heavenly.
- strawberries – you will need frozen strawberries, thaw and drain them first.
- coconut flour – it is needed to thicken the dough, improve the texture, and make the truffles soft and fluffy.
- dates – I used regular dates. They are a natural sweetener and bind everything together. Not to mention all the fiber and minerals, like iron, calcium, potassium they offer.
- lemon juice – freshly squeezed is best. It pairs perfectly with the sweet taste of strawberries and dates while boosting the flavor.
- cocoa powder – needed for rolling the truffles

I want to try this, but I don’t have coconut flour, what would I be able to substitute it with? would i be able to use frozen blueberries instead of strawberries?
Hi Danais,
instead of coconut flour, you can try using almond flour as a substitute, although I haven’t tried it. Just keep in mind that almond flour is not as absorbent as coconut flour and generally requires less liquid in recipes. As for the fruit, frozen blueberries could work as a substitute for strawberries. Let me know how it turns out if you decide to give it a try!
Can you make these with fresh strawberries?
Hi Jill,
I guess you can although I haven’t tried them with fresh ones. If the mixture is a bit dry you can add just a bit more liquid like water or lemon juice. Hope this is helpful.
Will definately be trying this. Seems will satisfy my sweet-tooth
Hey Maureen,
You should definitely try them, you won’t regret it!
