  • regular dates – use regular pitted dates. They sweeten the cookies naturally and are loaded with fiber and essential minerals, like iron and calcium. If your dates are drier, soak them in warm water for 10 minutes, then drain.
  • shredded coconut – use fine or medium shredded coconut
  • cinnamon – adds a nice warm flavor
  • vanilla – you can use pure vanilla extract or vanilla powder

How to Make Easy Oatmeal Walnut Cookies
