Super healthy and delicious spicy balls made of chickpeas, sesame, and sunflower seeds, all that seasoned with one of my favorite scented Cajun spice mixes!

For the Cajun Balls

cooked chickpeas

celery stalk
chopped

green onions
chopped

cloves
garlic

Cajun seasoning

ground sesame seeds

ground sunflower seeds

chickpea flour

For the sauce

raw walnuts

raw cashews

garlic

lemon
juiced

onion powder

nutritional yeast
salt to taste

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
Place the chopped celery stalk in a saucepan with a small amount of water and cook covered until tender or about 5 mins.
Then place all ingredients for the Cajun balls, except the green onions, in a
food processor
and blend until finely chopped.
Add the chopped onions and mix everything well in a bowl.
Take a tablespoon of the mixture and shape it into small balls.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the balls on it.
Bake for 20 mins.
Meanwhile, blend all ingredients for the sauce in a high-powered blender until smooth.
Serve the Spicy Cajun Balls with the flavorful nutty sauce and enjoy!
Notes
I use an electric
coffee/spice grinder
to grind the sesame seeds.
