Super tasty Oriental Whole Wheat Nuggets with sprouted wheat berries.A perfectly healthy plant-based recipe without any added oils and only whole food ingredients!These nuggets will surprise you with their cheesy flavor. Soft and creamy.
Soak the whole wheat kernels in plenty of water for 12 hours. Drain and rinse them.
Preheat the oven to 180°C ( 350°F).
Place all ingredients in a food processor until finely chopped. The result should be a smooth and sticky mixture.
With wet hands take about one full tablespoon of the mixture and shape it into the desired form.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the nuggets.
Bake for 10-12 minutes.
Notes
I prefer to sprout the kernels for another 12- 24 hours as they become softer and flavorful.
You may add some more water to the mixture to chop it easily. But it can become too loose to shape it later, so if this happens you may add one or two tablespoons chickpea flour or ground flax seeds as they soak the excess liquid.
